The Mullen Law Group, LLC is a law firm management company that helps new attorneys start
their careers by taking the business end (and risks involved) out of starting their own firms. We
mentor attorneys interested in practicing criminal defense and instruct what to do and not do
in misdemeanors, felonies and criminal traffic cases. In addition we take care of setting up an
office with furniture, office equipment and a law library, buy and program computers, advertise
on-line and use other methods to help bring clients to you, pay payroll taxes, hire, pay and train
legal administrative assistants, keep an up-to-date database of motions and other documents
relevant to criminal defense, pay for all insurance needs of not only keeping an office, but a
practicing attorney as well, cover continuing legal education and help cover any other incidental
costs that may arise.

By providing a fairly liberal pay scale, new attorneys should expect to be brought on as
associates the first year receiving a solid income to start chipping away at the large tuition bill
and building up their book of business. The second year attorneys make junior partner having the
ability to set their own schedules and start an percentage pay compensation plan. Attorneys will
make senior partner by year five just paying for their share of the office expenses and a small
management fee leaving their time to directly practicing law and not having to deal with the
business end of having their own firms. This way the attorneys who come aboard spend their
time doing what they went to school for, practicing law, not fighting with the IRS, training and
paying the staff and finding successful advertising methods through the school of hard knocks.
